Just wanted to share a little experience I had, here in my quiet corner of the web, where overlords like Zuckerborg can't throw my words into a digital cage, lock the key, and pretend the words never existed. A couple of years ago on Reddit, something changed my thought from "hmmm, the Mandela Effect is interesting" to "okay, the Mandela Effect needs to actually be investigated."

I posted a thread titled “The Strange Crusade Against the Mandela Effect." It was just an honest observation about how strangely defensive "people" get whenever the topic comes up on Reddit. The reactions become unnecessarily aggressive, which is an odd reaction to something that should just be an interesting convo about human memory / perception.

So I called it out. Almost instantly, there was a bombardment of 100s of comments. It was a swarm of hostility from newly created profiles, complete with psyop tactics, tying it to unrelated buzzwords like "flat earth" and "lizard people". This also came with a barrage of downvotes. Real people reading the thread caught on immediately: “What is going on with these replies? Are these bots?” Eventually, as presumably intended, the post was downvoted into silence.

Last week (about two years after the post), Reddit decided to randomly ban my account. No warning, no policy violation, no explanation at all. I appealed the ban, and they did actually reinstate my account, but guess which post was suddenly "removed by Reddit's filters"?

I felt this needed to be shared. There is more than just comical irony here, this whole situation is actually very alarming.

Does the "Academy Museum of Motion Pictures" in Los Angeles staff straight-up IDF soldiers? Weird vibes last time. Weird vibes today. Years apart. It's like they're using military training and intimidation tactics in (what's supposed to be) a casual setting. Weird, weird vibes.
